Economic Benefit of Prom in Trinidad and Tobago

Everyone can remember that special day when they graduate and in turn went to there prom. As good as this day was, these events is a great economical benefit to both Trinidad and Tobago.
Stores owners have a huge grin on there faces as they would encourage you to buy just about anything "especially the girls," also there is significant sale on shoes, formal wears, accessories such as handbags, chains, bracelet etc. "Believe or not," around this time the demand for make-up rises.
These proms usually takes place at magnificent venues throughout Trinidad and Tobago and they all are very costly but who can blame them after all they are beautiful.
For the children who have a legal age (18years old) they would tell you that they consume alot of alchoholic beverages. Angostura sales also usually rises. Angostura is one of Trinidad and Tobago's great pioneer of alchoholic beverages or what we 'Trini's' would just call 'rum.'
In conclusion these are just a few places that benefit from these events and they do increase the overall GDP in our country around this time.
